Start times: The Bedford Area Visitor's Center is open Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. [year round]; Saturday: 10:00: a.m. to 3:00 p.m. [mid-April through mid-November]. The Visitor's Center is closed Thanksgiving. Please call to confirm hours.
Event description: The 10 km trail is not suitable for wheelchairs and strollers will have difficulty. This is a rolling trail. Pets are not allowed in the D-Day Memorial. Trail is mainly on sidewalks and runs through the town of Bedford, a Virginia Main Street Community, ending at the National D-Day Memorial.

Directions: From the East [Tidewater area] and West [I-81 in VA]: Take US Route 460 to Bedford. Exit at SR 122 following signs for the D-Day Memorial and Bedford Area Visitor's Center. Turn left onto Tiger Trail (first street on the left), pass the D-Day Memorial entrance and turn left into the Visitor's Center.
From the North and South: Take US Route 29 to US Route 460. Take US Route 460 west towards Roanoke. Drive about 20 miles to SR 122. Exit at SR 122 following signs for the D-Day Memorial and Bedford Area Visitor's Center. Turn left onto Tiger Trail (first street on the left), pass the D-Day Memorial entrance and turn left into the Visitor's Center.

Comments: Walk only during daylight hours. Water and restrooms are available at the Visitor's Center. There are a couple of mini-mart shops along the trail. Pets are not allowed inside the Visitor's Center or the D-Day Memorial. Pets must be leashed at all times.
