Event description: The trail is along city and residential streets and parks and through the many famous historical areas of Winchester. The trail is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs.

Award and fees: The award is a 100% embroidered patch as pictured above ($7.00). Credit only is $3.00. Wilderness Road -- Virginia's Heritage Migration Route. Blaze your own trail at WildernessRoadVA.org

Directions: From Northern Virginia, Maryland and points East: Take the Washington Beltway (I-95/495) to I-66 West. Travel on I-66 West to I-81 North to Winchester, Exit 313. Follow signs to Visitor Center.

From Pennsylvania and points North: Take I-81 South to Exit 313B, Route 50 West. At the first light, turn right. Upon entering Winchester, watch for and follow signs to the Visitor Center.

Comments: Drinking water and restroom facilities are available at the Start/Finish. It is recommended that participants carry water in case of extreme weather conditions. Pets are welcome on a leash.
